New 2022 Acura NSX, Type S, Type R, Price, Specs – According to the media information available on the internet, 2022 will mark the end of production for the hybrid Acura NSX supercar. Although the company plans to cease production of this car in 2022 and instead offer the special car, many are still discussing the possibility of a new NSX. Acura will send it off with a new Type S model with higher performance and improved dynamics that was just unveiled at Monterey Car Week.

Acura NSX 2022 Changes

Exterior

The NSX Type S’s aggressive styling is what makes it stand out. It features a nose with a more angular air intake. Aerodynamics have been improved by a larger rear diffuser and a reshaped spoiler at the front that directs air underneath the car. Acura also added a Gotham Gray matte color to its 350-unit production. A Lightweight package is available that includes carbon-ceramic brakes and an engine cover. It also reduces weight by 58 pounds. The redesigned bumper at the rear features a larger carbon diffuser for better downforce and little fins to prevent the tires from waking up. Standard equipment now includes a carbon-fiber roof and carbon-colored spoiler and side skirts. Aerodynamic modifications to the front and rear diffusers create downforce, which allows for more efficient cooling. The suspension calibration has been updated to reduce body motion, particularly under braking.

Interior

The new 2023 Acura NSX is billed as an everyday supercar. It’s intuitive and comfortable enough to be used as a daily driver. Its cabin lacks the luxury and premium feel that Acura is known for, and it’s not designed to compete with Acuras in England or Germany. Bright red leather was appealing to our younger staff members, but others found it juvenile and garish. The seats are comfortable but we would prefer more support for the thighs. And enthusiastic drivers will probably want more side bolstering. The interior storage cubbies of the NSX are not very spacious for a supercar.

Safety System and Features

Standard equipment includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with integrated navigation and an ELS Studio nine-speaker stereo. The touchscreen system, like many interior parts, is taken from smaller Acuras or Hondas. We have the same complaints about them. Safety-conscious consumers might be concerned about the NSX’s absence of driver-assistance features, but a standard airbag system provides adequate protection. There are standard front- and rear parking sensors.

Engine, Transmission and Performance

An updated version of the 2022 Acura NSX model’s twin-turbocharged V-6 engine and three-motor hybrid drive system will provides the power. It produces 600 horsepower and 492 lb-ft of torque at its peak, which is 27 horses more than the previous model. The Type S retains the nine-speed dual-clutch auto transmission. The gearbox has been retuned to make upshifts 50 percent more efficient than before. Acura’s “Sport Hybrid SUPER Handling All-Wheel Drive” system continues to be featured in the sports car. It will accelerate by 3.1 seconds from 0-60 mph and can reach 191 mph.

New 2022 Acura NSX Release Date and Price

The sports car will produce less than its predecessor, which could be called the “Limited” version of the NSX. The company will soon announce the release of the new 2022 NSX. We know that only 350 units are available. According to media reports, the price of the 2022 NSX Type S is $171,495, with $13,000 added for the lightweight package. This is not bad considering the $159,495 current NSX stickers.
