New 2022 Ford Escape Release Date and Interior Looks – Ford Escape was redesigned in 2020 and is now a viable option for compact car buyers. The SUV is now in its third model year since the last update. We expect the 2022 Ford Escape will be a carryover model. The New Escape, a small SUV, sits in the middle of Dearborn’s lineup above the Ford EcoSport and below both the Ford Edge (three-row Explorer) and the Ford Edge.
The Escape’s new features include rear parking sensors, memory settings to the driver’s seat, exterior mirrors, faux leather upholstery, remote-start, remote-start, leather-wrapped steering wheels with heat, a hands-free power liftgate, fog lights, and roof rack side rails. The Technology package now includes a hands-free power liftgate and memory settings for the drivers and exterior mirrors. A 10-way power-adjustable driver seat, keyless entry keypad, and LED exterior lighting are also part of the Convenience package.
Ford Escape 2022 Interior
The interior features a striking dashboard and an elegant design. The dashboard’s infotainment screen of 2022 Ford Escape is located on the top. It is separated from the dials and buttons by a long trim piece. For ease of use, the large dials and buttons of the HVAC system are located at the bottom of the center console. A rotary dial shifter makes it possible to free up space. The interior design of the 2022 Ford Escape will be the same as that of the model currently in stock.
Safety System and Features
Base S models have a 4.2-inch radio display and an AM/FM stereo as their only entertainment. The Ford Escape received a 5-star safety rating from National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick award (IIHS) for its safety features. Ford offers a suite, called Co-Pilot360 by Ford, of driver-assistance options as standard on all Escape models.
We expect no major changes to the engine for the 2022 Ford Escape. The Escape will use the 1.5-L Turbo Inline-3 engine and the 2.0-L Turbo Inline-4. The first produces 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque, while the second makes 250 horses and 280 pounds of torque. The engines are connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
