New 2022 Lexus NX Price and Release Date – The second-generation compact Lexus NX SUV will be available soon. Although the exterior looks very similar to the previous model, the 2022 Lexus NX is expected to be vastly improved. Lexus will offer four powertrain options, including the plug-in hybrid NX. The fully redesigned Lexus NX will be explored in detail on the pages that follow. Please note that specifications are only a guideline and can change before the luxury crossover reaches dealer showrooms.
2022 Lexus NX Redesign
Although the NX is based on the current Toyota RAV4, it is approximately the same size as the RAV4 but is much more substantial. The 2022 Lexus NX’s distinctive domed roof peaks above the second-row seats. It also features the Lexus spindle grille, squinty lights, and the Lexus spindle grille. The body looks wider in the back where the new full-width taillights emphasize the visual girth. The older font will remain, but the newer font fills the larger space at the tailgate.
The new Lexus Interface was developed in North America and features a standard 9.8 inch or optional 14.1-inch center touchscreen. It is orientated towards the driver. The infotainment system can be wirelessly connected to both Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The cockpit is completed by a seven-inch digital instrument panel, and a 10-inch available head-up display.
Safety and Features
Virtual Assistant is a new feature that allows you to interact with your infotainment system. It features dual microphones, noise cancellation, seat detection, and speaker location capabilities. This allows for voice-first access to navigation, media, and vehicle settings. 2022 Lexus NX gets to version 3.0 Lexus Safety System+, which includes Risk Avoidance emergency steering, Left Turn Oncoming vehicle Detection/Braking, and Right/Left turn Oncoming pedestrian Detection/Braking.
The NX250 has the same 2.5-liter I-4 engine as the Toyota RAV4, producing 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Both front- and all-wheel drives are available. The NX350 follows, with a turbocharged I-4 2.4-liter that’s not shared with any Toyota products. The turbo engine produces 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque, marked improvements over the previous year’s turbo 2.0 liter.
