New 2022 Mazda CX-5 Release Date and Redesign – Mazda’s most-sold crossover is still in its current generation, but an update is needed. Rumors circulated last year that the Japanese automaker was working on changes. These included a possible platform shift and a name change from “CX-50.” It is worth noting that automakers rarely announce model changes before they make them public. Therefore, any analysis beyond this point will be speculation.

Mazda CX-5 2022 Redesign
Overview
The front features a sleeker, refined grille that is more sophisticated than the previous CX-5. There are LED headlights in the Japanese brand’s usual style on each side and an open lower variance with faux brake discs and daytime-running lights strips. Although the doors of the 2022 Mazda CX-5 are not as sharply creased and angular as those on the Hyundai Tucson’s new model, the rear haunches sit above the rear wheels. The prototype’s dash to axle ratio, which is the distance between the front axle and the A-pillar, appears shorter than the CX-5’s confirmed switch to rear-wheel-drive. This raises suspicions that the CX-5 might be a test car.

Engine
The new Large Mazda architecture will power the new 2022 Mazda CX-5. It will include a range of inline-4 and inline-6 petrol and diesel engines. They will be mounted longitudinally under their bonnets (front to back) instead of the current model’s left-to-right layout.

New 2022 Mazda CX-5 Release Date and Price
As such, we may not see official information for a while, perhaps in the second quarter of 2022 or later this year. The information about the price of the car will be almost the same as the previous model.
