New 2023 GMC Canyon AT4, Interior and Engine – The new Canyon was released several years ago. The new car’s design is unchanged. GMC plans to release the next generation of the car by rendering the completely new design. The media have spotted the prototype for this new car. It’s difficult to describe the photos as they are still in camouflage. Some media reports claim that the new car will use the new platform. The updated version of GM’s GMT-31XX midsize body-on-frame architecture will be used by the 2023 GMC Canyon. It will be called 31XX-2. It will have a new exterior and interior as well as a brand-new powerplant.
GMC Canyon 2023 Redesign
The front fascia on this prototype 2023 GMC Canyon has a very steep rake. This means the truck may be missing trim bits, or it could be the Canyon AT4 off-road-oriented Canyon AT4 trim. However, the low-hanging running boards don’t scream “offroad vehicle”. The factory may have put more off-road tires on the GMC Canyon Denali 2023.
The front end of this prototype also features a different arrangement of its placeholder headlights compared to the 2023 Colorado. While the Chevy features high-mounted, horizontally-oriented lights that are consistent with the general arrangement seen on the Chevy Silverado, this 2023 GMC Canyon prototype has an LED signature at the top, with vertically-oriented light sources running down the front-fascia.
Engine and Transmission
A turbocharged 2.7L I-4L3B gasoline engine will power the vehicle. It is currently available in the Sierra 1500. The boosted four-pot has a rating of 310 horsepower and 348 pounds-feet torque in that application. The 10-speed automatic transmission from GM will perform shifting duties.
