New 2023 Honda HR-V USA, Hybrid, Release Date – The CR-V’s small sibling, HR-V is due for a complete redesign. The Honda HR-V 2023 should be Honda’s entry in the subcompact crossover segment. It should offer features that allow it to compete with more than a dozen other competitors. Honda HR-V will be getting its first major redesign since its launch in 2016. Although the outgoing generation was practical and provided good value, the new model will need more curb appeal and a more compelling engine to compete with the best in the segment, like the Hyundai Kona, Kia Seltos, and the Mazda CX-30.
Honda HR-V 2023 Redesign
Spy shots and news reports indicate that the SUV’s subcompact exterior is sportier and more rugged than previous versions. The redesign 2023 Honda HR-V may be more difficult. This could be achieved by a higher ride height and a taller greenhouse.
With this new generation, the new 2023 Honda HR-V will have a modern interior design. The new minimalist interior design looks elegant and classic. It features a storage bin in front of the shifter and a rectangular air vent that divides the lower and upper dash panels. The new HRV will also have an independent infotainment screen. Honda’s Magic Seat was featured in the outgoing model. This allows the rear bench of the vehicle to fold down to form a flat, low floor. Despite its small size, the HR-V was the leader in the segment for cargo capacity.
Safety System and Features
The HR-V will get more standard driver assistance features, such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping aid. All models will come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay touchscreen infotainment systems. It stands tall in the middle and appears to be wider than the 7.0-inch screen on the previous model. We expect to see niceties like in-dash navigation and SiriusXM radio, as well as onboard Wi-Fi, SiriusXM radio, and SiriusXM radio, as at least options.
Engine and Transmission
The 2023 Honda H-RV will likely have a four-cylinder engine. This could be one borrowed from the Civic and Accord. A 2.0-liter engine producing around 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque is one possibility. A turbocharged 1.5-liter unit would produce approximately 174 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. FWD will still be the standard and AWD is an option. The only option will be a CVT automatic. Honda is reducing its manual transmission options, such as the six-speed HRV that we used in our long-term testing fleet.
New 2023 Honda HR-V USA Release Date and Price
Honda’s smallest crossover will be completely redesigned in the 2023 model year. It is expected to debut by the end of 2022. The 2023 HRV’s pricing shouldn’t be too different from the current model. We will continue to recommend the midrange EX, as that trim offers the most features at a reasonable price. The price range will be $23,000-$28,000
