New 2023 Kia Sportage Release Date and Price – The 2023 model year will see a redesigned Kia Sportage. On Tuesday, Kia provided details about the vehicle. With its truly extrovert styling, the 2023 Kia Sportage will stand out from other compact crossovers. Although the redesigned Kia Sportage was revealed last month, the South Korean automaker released technical details on Tuesday.
Kia Sportage 2023 Redesign
The Sportage’s new design features include a clamshell-style hood and a pinched tailgate edge. You’ll notice the sportier styling of the new Sportage. The Sportage’s new Tiger Nose grille is front and center. It’s similar to the one seen on the Seltos and Sorento SUVs as well as the K5 sedan. This SUV looks more solid and planted than its predecessor.
The Sportage interior follows the example of other Kias recently released. It is modern and clean with lots of screen real estate. The 2023 Kia Sportage is a striking vehicle with its stylish design, highlighted by the large digital display on the dashboard and other eye-catching details. We’ve seen images that show a striking two-tone scheme. The shape of the air vents at the dash is particularly distinctive. The center console features a rotary shift knob and a push-button to start. Many other controls blend in with the black piano-black bezel. The Sportage will have more cargo and passenger room than its predecessor.
The engine offered by Kia is almost identical to the one found in a Hyundai. The 2023 Kia Sportage uses a 2.5-liter Inline-4 with 187 horsepower as standard. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic. This is the top of a pair of hybrids, one being a plug-in hybrid. Both have a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine mated with an electric motor and a 6-speed manual. The plug-in hybrid setup produces 226 horsepower, while the regular hybrid setup produces 261 horsepower. Plug-in hybrids also have a 13.8-kilowatt-hour battery which will provide an estimated 32-mile range.

These specs are intended for Europe, but U.S. details must be revealed before the small crossover’s local launch. This is currently expected to take place in early 2022. Kia has not yet revealed the price of the 2023 Sportage or what trim levels it will come in. The current lineup will be the same as the next generation. We don’t anticipate each model being priced higher than they are. According to current news, the range price is expected to be between $26,000 and $35,000
