New 2023 Mercedes CLE-Class Redesign and Release Date – The current Mercedes-Benz lineup has a C-class and an E-class convertible, but both will be replaced by a single model in the 2023 model year. This could be the 2023 Mercedes CLE-Class. Mercedes-Benz sold six different convertible models at one time, but the automaker is now drastically reducing its number of droptops. S-class convertibles and SLC classes are gone. New spy photos and a renewed name “CLE” indicate that a single model will replace two-door versions C-class or E-class.
Mercedes CLE-Class 2023 Redesign
The brand will relaunch the full-size SL before the new CLE arrives in 2023. It will do so using a new platform from AMG. Similar treatment is planned for the CLE. It was captured on camera and shown in our exclusive images. This all-new model of 2023 Mercedes CLE-Class will redefine a cluttered market that is less profitable than ever before and give it a unique look. It’s a job similar to the one undertaken by BMW with its latest 4 Series, which is now far removed from its 3 Series sibling.
Although details are not available, spy photos have shown Mercedes-Benz developing a new ragtop. A trademark filing also revealed that the CLE-class name was in the mix. The spy photos show the prototype looking closer to the 2022 C-class sedan.
It will likely look similar to the W206 C-class sedan. The 2023 Mercedes CLE-Class will use the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four in the U.S. will be standard. A CLE300 model could be the base model. An E-class version would have a turbocharged 3.0-liter six.
New 2023 Mercedes CLE Release Date and Price
The E-class two doors may be around for a while longer until the CLE class is revealed. Its price starting point will be around $60,000. The CLE class will be revealed in 2022. It will then go on sale as a 2023 model.
