New 2023 Porsche Macan EV, GTS, Turbo – The new-generation all-electric Porsche Macan has been spy tested again. It was captured in the latest of a long-running series of prototype spy photos. The company is currently testing prototypes for the electric version of Porsche’s most popular model. It will arrive in 2023. The new electric platform will allow for a greater range than the Taycan and it will be sold along with the Macan, which will arrive later in the year.
Porsche Macan 2023 Redesign
They will look very different from the standard Macan. The visual differences between the Macans are obvious, particularly on the front where Porsche attempted to hide it with camouflage that matches the look of the current Macan. The headlights in the photos are shorter and don’t have the traditional grille of the gas-powered model. They are roughly the same size and shape as the current crossover. Porsche claims they will have a similar sound to the Taycan’s propulsion. Although the model here appears to be a coupe, Porsche previously stated that it would not offer any other models like the Cayenne Coupe. This means that the next 2023 Porsche Macan will have a tapered roofline and will not look like the wagon-themed Macan.
It is unclear how much interior design we see here is final production. The digital display behind the steering wheels looks like a prototype unit. However, we can expect more screens than the usual buttons to be located on the outside edges.
The EV will use Taycan’s 800-volt architecture. This allows for fast charging at a maximum speed of 270 kilowatts. Porsche plans that the electric 2023 Porsche Macan will also have two sizes of battery. Porsche claims that North American customers have chosen to use the larger battery packs, and therefore we will only have one size of the battery in the States. Porsche claims the Macan EV will offer “significantly more range” than the current Taycan. This means that it will have a greater range than the 2021 Taycan 4S model, which is 227 miles.
New 2023 Porsche Macan Release Date and Price
The exact launch date for the electric Macan has yet to be announced, but the company stated that they expect the global sales process will begin in 2023. The price of the entry-level electric Macan might be between $170,000 and $180,000, which is a bit lower than the base price for the electric Taycan. The price of this car might go up or down depending on when it is released.
